Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RSVP Made Simple ("Service"), operated by RSVP Made Simple ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use this Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@rsvpmadesimple.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. One person may not operate multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits.
3. The Service
RSVP Made Simple provides tools for managing event RSVPs and gift registries for private personal events. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use in the context of private celebrations such as weddings, baby showers, birthdays, and similar events.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify account holders of material changes in advance.
4. Plans and Payment
The Service is offered in three tiers: Free, Standard, and Premium. Standard and Premium plans are purchased as a one-time payment per event, not a subscription. All prices are in USD and are shown inclusive of any applicable taxes where required by law.
Payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will review your case.
Paid event pages remain active for 12 months from the date of purchase. After that period the event page is archived; RSVP links stop working and the dashboard becomes read-only. Your data is retained and remains exportable.
We use Stripe to process payments. By completing a purchase you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. We never store your full payment card details.
5. Free Tier
The Free tier is permanent — there is no time limit and no automatic conversion to a paid plan. Free accounts are subject to the guest and sub-event limits defined at the time of account creation. We reserve the right to adjust Free tier limits for new accounts with reasonable notice. Existing free events are not retroactively affected by limit changes.
6. Affiliate Links
When guests click registry links, those links may include affiliate identifiers that allow us to earn a small commission if a purchase is made. These commissions do not affect the price guests pay. Guests are transparently redirected to the retailer's product page.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Send unsolicited communications to people who have not been invited to your event.
- Upload or transmit unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or offensive content.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
- Use the Service for commercial event management, resale, or as a white-labelled platform without our written permission.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise systematically extract data from the Service.
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice or refund.
8. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload or create using the Service (event details, guest lists, registry items, cover images). By uploading content you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share your guests' personal information with us (see our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for ensuring any images or product content you add to your registry does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
9. AI-Assisted Features
The registry bookmarklet uses AI to extract product information from web pages. AI-extracted data is provided as a starting point only — you review and can edit every field before saving. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of AI-extracted data. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any extracted information before publishing your registry.
10. Availability and Uptime
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance windows, unexpected outages, or third-party service failures may cause temporary unavailability. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service promptly and to communicate planned downtime in advance.
We are not liable for RSVP responses missed, emails undelivered, or other consequences arising from service unavailability. If availability is critical around your event date, we recommend exporting your guest list and RSVP data regularly from the dashboard.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR CONTINUOUSLY AVAILABLE.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RSVP MADE SIMPLE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold RSVP Made Simple harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
14. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@rsvpmadesimple.com. Account deletion is permanent — all event, guest, and registry data will be removed within 30 days and cannot be recovered.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify account holders by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request account deletion.
